El Kuelgue was formed in Buenos Aires, in the heart of the Villa Crespo neighborhood during the year 2004. Their unique live concerts, where they show their touch of absurdity and improvisation and their original stage productions, are the hallmarks of this group, led by the multifaceted Julián Kartun.

The band's musical versatility and the combination of several styles have captured a generation that no longer chooses music exclusively according to one genre. For over 15 years, the band has performed their concerts at the biggest venues and festivals in Argentina, Latin America and Europe. In 2016, the band was chosen to open for Paul McCartney's two shows at the Estadio Único de la Plata. Last September, El Kuelgue performed at the legendary Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires with sold out tickets.
