Last summer, Jireel did a fantastic Sweden tour. In the autumn, he is gearing up to, among other things, expand to the whole of Scandinavia.

"I felt it was time to meet audiences around Scandinavia and do concerts in a larger format there too", says Jireel.

The new album "Luanda", which will be released on April 26, features a more poppy Jireel. Jireel has wanted to be as transparent and honest with the new record as possible about things he's going through.

"It probably makes me write in a different way than before, that it gives me a different distance from what I've experienced. The fact that I'm no longer surrounded by the same stress was definitely also a contributing factor to the fact that the new record became a bit wider, I have seen room to dare to take that step", he says.

The album is also the first full-length that Jireel releases on his own label, Records by MOTY.

"First of all, we are starting the company to bring out more talent", says Jireel. "But also because I want to be able to go from just being an artist to having my own record label where I can grow with other artists."

"MOTY" is also the title of Jireel's previous album from 2022 which contains hits like "MANO", "WINNER" and "SANTORINI" which has accumulated more than 50 million listens on Spotify and whose success has taken Jireel to a whole new level as an artist.
