After almost ten years of success with the albums ’’Blues Pills’’ (2014) “Lady In Gold” (2016), and “Holy Moly!” (2020) Blues Pills is now ready to present their fourth studio album "Birthday".

The band describes their new album, "Birthday", as a liberating work where they have left all limitations and expectations behind to create music they truly love. They wanted to capture the raw and authentic vibe of their live performances on the record while challenging themselves to create the best they've ever done. Elin Larsson, the band's charismatic lead singer, discovered during the recordings that she was pregnant, which added an extra dimension to the process and strengthened the band's feminist stance: "During the recordings of the album I discovered I was pregnant. It wasn’t planned so I was a bit overwhelmed and it changed a lot but it actually made it easier for me to write for this album. With all the hormones I was way more emotional than usual, and I wanted to continue with my life even though I'm bringing a kid into the world. It should be natural to be both a mother and an artist, and I want my son Loui to be on that journey with me.”

Blues Pills' new album "Birthday" was written and recorded in Sweden's idyllic landscapes and in Recordia Studios.
