God Is An Astronaut er en kvartet fra Irland, som med tvillingebrødrene Niels og Torsten Kinsella i front, har positioneret sig som et af den instrumentale post-rocks absolutte hovednavne.

De har for længst sikret sig et ry, som et band der har været med til at definere en lyd, som f.x. Mogwai og Explosions In The Sky har ladet sig inspirere af.

Kvartetten har samtidig opbygget sig et velrenommeret ry som et yderst solidt liveband, der sender deres tunge post-rock numre af sted sammen med unikke visuals, som er tilpasset hvert enkelt nummer.
