ÂME: After a long night of dancing, many night club patrons leave the venue with a certain track stuck in their heads. But for Âme, the DJ/production duo of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann, the tunes lodged in their brains are the ones they didn't hear, ones not yet written that would fit perfectly in their sets. Since 2003, Beyer and Wiedemann have penned songs that once existed just outside club-goers' imagination, songs that boldly combined floor-filling elements with conceptual conceits while maintaining their visceral appeal.
As part of Innervisions, the collective/label they run with Dixon, Âme (pronounced "AHM") offer glimpses of the future of electronic music through their live project, genre-melding compilations, and an independently run shop that completes the connection between artist and admirer. In a genre obsessed with reliving the past, Ame are focused on what's still to come!
HUNTER/GAME: It started in 2010 with the "Just This" parties. Hunter/Game's own party, held in secret locations round the city, Just This has made Milan a compulsory stop for the touring electronic artist - from early shows that focused on local acts like Mind Against and Tale Of Us, growing to far bigger events with names like Dixon, Seth Troxler, Koze, Tennis and other DJs in Hunter/Game's worldwide scene. And alongside the parties, the duo have released on Innervisions, Rumours, Last Night on Earth, My Favourite Robot, Hot Creations and Diynamic - with a Kompakt release in early 2015 - and each EP has earned more fans for their lush, deep-grooved analogue soundscapes.
PRIMAL: Primal is an Icelandic electronic music producer and Dj based in Copenhagen.
The past few years, Primal has been involved with an electronic music project by the name of Kúra, featuring the Icelandic singer Fanney Ósk. Kúra, which became a widely recognized electronic act in northern Europe, offered an opportunity to explore new areas, ideas and genres. He eventually got introduced to the underground techno society by the Just This crew. Primal was then inspired to evolve his soundscape in new directions, resulting in a previously unexplored, darker universe with hypnotizing melancholic rhythms and heavy bass-lines.
DENIS HORVAT: Based in Copenhagen and a frequent player in some of the finest underground clubs. Still focusing on his productions and gaining attention through a prestigious resume of labels. 2012 lead him into the arms of Tiefschwarz’s Souvenir Music. Introduced on their annually “In The City”compilation, followed up by “Montre EP” – collaborating with his Mexican colleague and vocalist “Quiroz”. This made a new standard for Denis, and his courage stepped up to the next level. The impression of Steve Bug’s Audiomatique Recordings also came to sight. “Dali EP” took the crowd with storm, and showed the variety of Denis’s skills. Later on in 2013 he released his debut EP on Noir Music, “Dual EP”. This came out as a split EP with Oliver Schories, which was another huge topic on everybody’s lips. 2014 brought him a signing to no less than Get Physical’s “Full Body Workout”. Furthermore Noir picked up “Chaleo” for his new EP series “TRX”. This one rapidly made it to the Beatport Deep House Top 100 and 2015 have shown to be a busy year touring and with a great new releases on Aeon and Audiomatique among others....
REKYL: Selfproclaimed electronic music soldier. Club capitán. Subcultural entrepreneur. Thus continouosly fighting for the electronic scene on both local turf in Copenhagen but also with international collaborators and initiatives. Playing the strings at various local clubs as well as festivals like Sonar, Fusion and Copenhagen based festivals like Distortion, Strøm and a bunch of open airs and underground parties and clubs.
On the side of this also a passionate dj for more than a decade. This dedication opened the doors to the Just This family in 2013 where he has since been facilitator of the Scandinavian branch of the label and parties.
JUST THIS: Just This is the expression of a social, metropolitan and underground movement....
In 2015, alongside a heavy Europe and North American touring schedule, Hunter/Game opened the doors of the new Just This vinyl label. Distributed by Kompakt, the label opened with the leftfield electronic dance stylings of Danish-Icelandic band Primal, a Hunter/Game release, followed by releases featuring several charismatic names like Extravelt, Max Cooper, Locked Groove, Ripperton, Christian Löffler and more.
With a stylistic approach that leans toward Hunter/Game's own, Just This releases are aimed at the discerning dancefloor, but are as influenced by the wild ambition of 80s electronic acts as by contemporary analogue production techniques.
