PUMPEHUSET og Smash!Bang!Pow! presents
Tropical Fuck Storm

Tropical Fuck Storm, which mixes art rock, psychedelia and punk, gives a concert in Pumpehuset on 6 November

"It's probably been at least a decade since I've been this excited about a new rock record".

This is how Information's reviewer wrote about Tropical Fuck Storm's masterful 2019 album "Braindrops", which he called "an acid magical post-punk wonder, so accomplished and excellent on so many levels that it single-handedly revitalizes rock as a truth serum and intoxicant".

Big words – but the Melbourne quartet, with its anti-authoritarian and boundary-pushing approach, is a unique and unruly unicorn on the berserk in rock history's teeming treasury.

Tropical Fuck Storm was formed in 2017 out of the ashes of the acclaimed punk blues group The Drones. After releasing a series of 7" singles and touring with Band of Horses and compatriots - and soulmates - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, in 2019 they released the Birthday Party frayed and saucy debut "A Laughing Death in Meatspace" via the American indie label Joyful Noise (Deerhoof, Sebadoh, Surferblood).

For example, Soundvenue has proclaimed them one of the best protest rock bands of all time in the spirit of Rage Against The Machine, Politiken has praised them for "their rebellious psych-punk with equal parts barbs and unyielding energy", and Iggy Pop himself has declared his love for the group.

As the bubbling creative collective they are, Tropical Fuck Storm has since released the album "Deep State", which includes was praised in Uncut, Mojo and Kerrang!! and stormed into 7th place on the Australian album charts, and as many as four EPs - most recently "Submersive Behaviour" with covers by e.g. Jimi Hendrix and The Stooges.

Tropical Fuck Storm is currently on tour as support with the legendary Bikini Kill, where they recently visited Store VEGA. On November 6, the four-leaf clover returns to Denmark when they invite you to an unruly and inclusive rock party in Pumpehuset.
