PUMPEHUSET and All Things Live presents
Sematary

The horror rapper Sematary and his Haunted Mound collective bring darkness to Copenhagen this summer

The underground rapper Sematary finds himself musically at a huge crossroads with detours into several different scenes, sounds and subcultures. At first listen to any of his projects, references to Chicago drill and bass-heavy 808s, shoegaze and black metal's washed-out noisy guitars, and horrorcore's dark lyrical universe and striking aesthetic can be heard.

Like idol Yung Lean, it's impossible to pin Sematary down to one specific genre or subculture, but his hundreds of millions of streams across various platforms are proof that his indefinable expression is a strength, not a weakness.

Sematary's musical journey began at the age of 11, when, inspired by names like Salem, Chief Keef, Sickboyrari (fka Black Kray) and Yung Lean, he composed music in GarageBand. After graduating high school in 2019, he founded his musical collective Haunted Mound, consisting of like-minded rappers and artists.

In November of the same year, Sematary released his first mixtape Rainbow Bridge, which catapulted him towards stardom on the underground scene and a hugely dedicated fanbase worldwide that has only grown in size and hype release after release.

On his latest world tour in 2022, he gave sold-out concerts from Melbourne to Poland, and in 2023 he collaborated with another one of his heroes, namely Chief Keef on the track "Fuck The World". This summer, the self-proclaimed grave man and his companions from Haunted Mound (Gonerville, Hackle and Turnabout etc.) finally come to Denmark, where they invite you inside the darkness of Pumpehuset.
