Randall King brings country music from Texas to Pumpehuset on August 20

The American country musician Randall King provides real honky-tonk atmosphere from West Texas when he plays in Copenhagen in August. With over 300 million streams on hits like "You In A Honky Tonk" and "Hey Cowgirl", King has maintained the authentic twang style of country music while gaining recognition for his deeply personal releases such as the EP "Leanna" from 2020 and the album "Shot Glass" from 2022. Drawing inspiration from legends such as Keith Whitley and George Strait, but also modernizing his sound with inspiration from Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King has cemented his place as one of today's most influential voices in traditional country. And with nearly 150 concerts annually worldwide, Randall King is constantly refining his performances and his craft.

The musician's latest release from January 2024, "Into the Neon", takes the honky-tonk genre to new heights, where classic roots meet modern sounds. Highly praised by Pandora, Country Now and Music Mayhem Magazine, the album explores King's unique creative vision and brings country music into a new era of infectious melodies and genuine twang.

Randall King says about the album: "You grow wiser with age, you grow wiser while you're working and experiencing life, and I feel like I have a deeper understanding of what my music really is. We're moving into the neon era of country music. The pendulum is swinging, and you're watching it happen... Now I just hope people get their mind blown.”
