Under the stage name Zoumer, Yasmina Derradj delivers electronic and alternative art pop. With a name derived from the 19th century Algerian warrior Lalla Fatma N'Soumer, the music has a kind of earlier djurdjura spirit, a mix of harmonies or spoken word vocals, lo-fi drums, synth keyboards and beats.
Vamilla
Vamilla's favorite book is Alice in Wonderland, and you can feel that in her music. The crazy, adventurous and unpredictable characterized her early songwriting, which was about princesses and dinosaurs. A fantasy world seemed to be more exciting than the real one when you come from Ølstykke.
But in the meeting with Guldimund at the college, she found out that there was also a lot to write about in her own life. This has resulted in songs with the same musical elements as from the fantasy world, but with deeply personal, raw and provocative lyrics.
