Elder is a genre-evolving rock band that mixes psychedelic heavy with progressive elements in an atmospheric soundscape. They started in a small coastal town in the northeastern state of Massachusetts in the mid-00s. Since then, the band has reinvented themselves and their sound with each of their five album releases and has now grown from being one of the most solid names in the stoner/doom scene to becoming one of the most unique voices in the rock underground.

Elder, who last visited DK in 2022 on their joint tour together with Pallbearer, has most recently been current with the album 'Innate Passage'. The album was created during the pandemic, when the band decided to channel the bizarre circumstances into music. The album showcases the band's ever-expanding musical repertoire and sense of continuing to explore new soundscapes.

In October, Elder will return to Pumpehuset, this time with their own headline concert.
