Since 2016, Wads has fronted the smash-hit duo Phlake, who, with songs like 'Angel Zoo', 'The Rascal', 'Pregnant' and more than 250 million streams from four critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning albums, have become one of the country's most popular and trend-setting names in recent times. 

Now Phlake is on standby. And with the release of 'come here' in January, Wads, who has previously appeared on songs with Pil, Benjamin Hav, Dos Santos and Emil Kruse, made his solo debut. The news hit the country's largest music and news media, while 'come here' introduced an edgy and multi-colored electronic r'n'b universe, which is now being added new nuances with the spaced pop cut, 'beast'.

On ‘beast’, Wads twists the song’s theme of turning one’s awkward sides into a superpower, with pitched alien vocals reminiscent of the alter ego, Mercedes the Virus, from Phlake hits like ‘Slip Away’ and ‘Baby Steps.’ Like ‘come here’, the new single was produced in close collaboration with producer, Awinbeh Ayagiba, who has worked with Jada, Artigeardit and others.  

With the release of 'beast', Wads also unveils his first solo concerts, where he will visit Pumpehuset on October 24, 2025.
