The French producer and composer Thylacine, known for a string of powerful releases and evocative soundtracks for films and series, will perform on November 19 at Pumpehuset.

Take Massive Attack’s pioneering trip-hop, Paul Kalkbrenner’s melancholic techno, and Four Tet’s curious indietronica – and you’ll have an idea of how French artist Thylacine sounds.

The electronic musician, producer, and composer has been making music under his artistic alias since 2012. With his atmospheric and cinematic compositions, incorporating acoustic instruments and field recordings, he has since gained international recognition and toured extensively around the globe.

He truly made a name for himself in 2015 with the album 'Transsiberian', based on recordings from a journey on the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway. The album gained international attention and was praised by outlets such as DJ Mag and The Line of Best Fit. The single 'Train' was also remixed by Michael Mayer, the mind behind the legendary German techno label Kompakt.

Thylacine has also released the album 'Roads Vol. 1', based on a journey through Argentina, 'Timeless', which draws on fragments of compositions by classical icons such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Debussy, and most recently '9 Pieces' from 2022. In addition, he has composed music for a number of films and series, most recently the Netflix series 'Winter Palace', for which he created the soundtrack.

Thylacine has previously performed in Denmark as part of the live concept 'What The France', which promotes promising French artists abroad. Now he returns as the main act, taking over Pumpehuset on November 19 with his captivating live show.
