Situationsfornærmelse provides a lesson in how Danish-language punk rock should be cut at Pumpehuset in September.
It started small, but as time went on it quickly became clear to everyone that no place is too big for Situationsfornæmmelse. The band has visited venues and festivals all over the country and held sold-out concerts both as warm-up and headline acts. And because Situationsfornæmmelse is nothing more than four happy amateurs, they like to brag about having visited places like Roskilde Festival, VEGA, Voxhall and Skråen.
The genre is punk rock and they play as if their life depended on it. The lyrics draw caricatures of Danishness and revolve around political correctness and everything we don't talk about. The menu is certainly delivered with high spirits, sharp self-irony and absolutely no humility towards those who would think otherwise.
The Aarhus Quartet writes, records, mixes and publishes all the delights themselves and so far it has resulted in the two critically acclaimed EPs En Hurtig Omgang Dansk and En Hurtig Omgang Dansk i 2'eren, plus the brand new critically acclaimed debut album; Længe Leve De Vrede.
With hits like Kaff’ Eller Knep, Ind Med Hænderne, and man ki tær å tær, Situationsførningmelse has long since established that they are something to experience and someone to keep an eye on. In addition to the music, it is the energy that has become Situationsførningmelse's trademark and when Situationsførningmelse plays, it is about getting ahead before it is too late.
Because as Situational Insult always says: A quick round of Danish has never been more fun and long live the angry ones. Hooray!
