Richy Mitch and The Coal Miners, whose beautiful song "Evergreen" has been a massive hit on TikTok and Spotify, will give their first Danish concert on September 16th at Pumpehuset.
The paths to musical success can be many and unpredictable. Richy Mitch and The Coal Miners is a textbook example of this.
Formed in 2015 in Seattle by a group of friends with a shared love of folk, indie, and singer/songwriter, the group debuted in 2017 with the hauntingly beautiful “RMCM” and quickly followed up with two more albums, “Solstice” the following year and “Subliming” in 2019.
Combined with a reputation as a strong live band, Richy Mitch and The Coal Miners were well on their way to building a promising career when COVID-19 temporarily halted their momentum. However, in 2023, they were back on track with the hit “Lake Missoula,” a collaboration with LA indie rock band Mt. Joy.
However, the hype surrounding Richy Mitch & the Coal Miners really took off the following year when “Evergreen,” the opening track from their debut album, began trending on TikTok. Seven years after its original release, the song reached the top 20 on both Billboard’s “Hot Rock Songs” and “Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.”
"Evergreen" is approaching 1 billion plays on Spotify, and the band has received gold and platinum records for the song in countries including the US, UK, Italy, Spain, Greece and New Zealand.
Richy Mitch and The Coal Miners prove that they are not resting on their laurels with their brand new album “Colorado’s On Fire Again”. It shows the band at their best and most virtuoso songwriting side, and fans of Fleet Foxes, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Lumineers and Bon Iver will find great pleasure in the beautiful and sophisticated compositions.
With the new songs in their backpacks, the American folk favorites are now going on tour, and fortunately they have chosen to stop in Denmark. On September 16th, they will give their first Danish concert in the atmospheric hall of Pumpehuset.
Ticket sales start April 4th at 10:00 AM.
