Nada Surf plays at Pumpehuset with new album in hand
The American indie rock band Nada Surf will play at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on September 22 as part of the tour for their new album Moon Mirror, which was released on New West Records in 2024.
Formed in New York City in the early 1990s, Nada Surf is a band that currently consists of Matthew Caws (vocals/guitar), Daniel Lorca (bass), Ira Elliot (drums), and Louie Lino (keyboards/guitar). The band had their breakthrough with the single “Popular” in 1996 and has since released a series of critically acclaimed albums, including The Proximity Effect (1998), Let Go (2002), The Weight Is a Gift (2005), Lucky (2008), and Never Not Together (2020).
Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales and produced by the band themselves in collaboration with Ian Laughton, their latest release Moon Mirror features 12 new songs that revolve around themes of presence, change and human connection.
Nada Surf's music is characterized by melodic songwriting, strong vocal harmonies, and lyrics that focus on the personal and existential. The band has toured extensively for three decades and has built a dedicated international audience.
