With a career that began in 2016, Lojay has established himself as one of the most influential artists on the African music scene.

Lojay grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, where his musical journey began in the church choir and as a drummer. He has continually developed his artistic style with a focus on emotional songwriting and genre-defying sound.

He had his breakthrough with the EP 'LV N ATTN' (2021), a collaboration with renowned producer Sarz, which includes hits like Tonongo and the global hit Monalisa. The song Monalisa was later remixed with American star Chris Brown and helped Lojay gain international recognition, including a GRAMMY nomination for Best African Music Performance.

In 2023, he followed up with the EP ’Gangster Romantic’, which revealed a more vulnerable and mature side of his sound. In 2024, he released singles such as ’Billions’ with Sarz and appeared on Fireboy DML’s album ’Adedamola’ with the song ’Letting Go’. His latest collaboration, ’Sensational’ with Chris Brown and Davido, reached the top 10 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart.
