Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash returns to Copenhagen with his new show The Four Elements
Grandmaster Flash is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in hip-hop. As the inventor of the groundbreaking “Quick Mix Theory,” he transformed the turntable into an instrument and became one of hip-hop’s most important artists.
His new show is a visual and musical journey through the history of hip-hop. With cameras on stage, the audience gets a unique insight into his technique and innovation, while sound and images bring the atmosphere of the 1970s Bronx to life.
Flash grew up in The Bronx with a passion for both mechanics and music. He built his own mixers and speakers and impressed the neighborhood with his dexterity at the famous block parties. Along with Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa, he forms the trinity of hip-hop – but technically Flash is in a class of his own.
Grandmaster Flash has previously filled both Store VEGA and Amager Bio. Now he returns to Pumpehuset on October 5th - a rare chance to experience him in an intimate setting. The last time he visited Pumpehuset in 2017, both nights were sold out, so it will undoubtedly be an evening not to be missed.
