American Chance Peña, who is a big hit on Spotify, gives his first Danish concert on October 26 in Pumpehuset
Although Chance Peña is only in his mid-20s, his musical career is already extensive and impressive.
He grew up in a small town in Texas, where he learned to play the guitar at an early age and at the age of 11 began writing his own songs, inspired by artists as diverse as Kid Cudi and The Lumineers. When he participated in the TV show "The Voice" in 2015, his expressive voice attracted attention - despite the fact that he was only 15 years old!
Since then, Chance Peña has released a stack of singles and EPs, all characterized by his soulful vocals, history-conscious folk inspiration, modern pop feel and atmospheric productions. In 2019, his song "Up, Up and Away" was featured in the film "Five Feet Apart", the same year saw the release of the excellent EP "Anxiety & Mixed Emotions", and the following year he co-wrote the Grammy-nominated track "Conversations" in the Dark” to John Legend.
His biggest hit, "I Am Not Who I Was", was released last year and has been streamed more than 170 million times on Spotify, where he has an impressive 13 million monthly listeners. Most recently, he has released the beautiful single "The Mountain Is You", which is guaranteed to be on the set list when Chance Peña gives his first Danish concert on 26 October in Pumpehuset.
