ascendant vierge is a transnational and trans-musical project consisting of goth-pop singer and songwriter Mathilde Fernandez and DJ and producer Paul Seul, who is also known as one of the co-founders of the collective Casual Gabberz.

The project was born in 2019, and despite the fact that the name ascendant virge is written in only small letters, their sound is anything but small. The alliance between pop, baroque, large lyrical dimensions and productions with a mix of hard techno, trance and Eurodance has made their sound stand out among audiences and reviewers after a handful of self-produced singles.

The first single "Influenceur" was released the summer before the world shut down in 2020, and it became a viral hit that spread to the entire globe, despite people's lack of opportunities to get out and dance to the music.

In the same period, the Brussels-based duo released the mini-album "Vierge", and in April 2023 came their full-length album "Une Nouvelle Chance", which they finally have the chance to come out and perform live.

Danish fans of the project can look forward to experiencing their wild sound and aesthetics when ascendant virge makes Pumpehuset rumble at a dark Friday party on October 27, 2023.
