PUMPEHUSET og Sky Juice Reggae Promotions Præsenterer
Jamaica Independence Celebration feat. Queen Ifrica

Pumpehusets Byhave and Pumpehuset celebrate the 54th independence day of Jamaica in support of Alpha Boys School Jamaica.

Sky Juice Promotions in Denmark are setting up a number of fundraising shows where proceedings will go to the Alpha school. One of these shows will be on the 6th August at Pumpehuset where we will have a kids concert from 16.00 with Trolle and Tormod followed by Cisilia live in concert where all ticket sales will go to the Alpha Boys School Jamaica. Thereafter we will have the main concert with Queen Ifrica live from Jamaica.

Queen Ifrica have been part of the reggae world since 1998 they have been turning concert halls and festivals upside down with their catchy vibes. Queen Ifrica is the daughter of ska legend Derrick Morgan. With roots firmly secured in the Rastafarian faith, she blossomed as one of the top cultural artists she combines social criticism with good reggae beats swarming the airwaves with hits like “Randy”, “Jus my Brethren”, “Below the Waist” and “Daddy” and stealing the stages at major festivals and stage shows around the world (Summer Jam in Germany, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Bob Marley Festival, Reggae on the River in California and Reggae Sundance Festival in Holland).

As an active community leader, Ifrica is involved in several outreach programs for children in Jamaica’s inner-city and charity shows where proceeds are donated to the cause.

No matter how personal and compelling her lyrics might be, the Jamaican will always make her audience dance. Queen Ifrica will for sure turn Pumpehuset into Little Jamaica.
